Protect Your Vision
Proper eye health starts with regular eye exams. During an eye exam, we will take a comprehensive look at your entire visual system to ensure your vision and overall health are in optimal condition.
Our exams begin with a discussion about your vision, family history, and any pre-existing conditions you may have. We will also go over any symptoms you are experiencing and discuss your questions or concerns so we can learn as much as we can about your needs.
During every appointment, our team will assess your current vision needs and provide you with a personalized solution. Whether you need glasses, contacts, or specialized eye care like dry eye therapy or eye disease management, you can count on us to care for your eye health.

Why Are Eye Exams Important?
Eye exams are about more than just your vision. They should be a regular part of your health routine.
Each eye exam allows us to assess your eye health, determine your prescription, and diagnose eye diseases and conditions. We can even detect other health issues that can affect your health long-term during your eye exam.
How Often Should You Have an Eye Exam?
Following the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO) guidelines, we recommend getting an eye exam:
- Every 2–3 years if you are aged 20–39
- Every 2 years if you are aged 40–65
- Every year if you are over the age of 65
At Niagara Vision, we believe that the key to healthy vision is delivering personalized eye care. That is why we spend the time getting to know every one of our patients. With this information, we can recommend an eye exam schedule based on your personal medical history and vision needs.
